Rahma is an Advocate with a cumulative practice experience of over 15 years in Commercial, Real Estate, Conveyance Competition and Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) Law. She has a wealth of experience in Not-for-Profit Law and is a Fellow of the International Center for Non-profit Law (ICNL), Washington D.C. She has previously worked as the Legal Affairs Manager of the NGOs Co-ordination Board, a State Corporation under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of Government Kenya, and responsible for designing, implementing and review of the NGOs Co-ordination Act which culminated in the amalgamation of various laws and regulations regulating the Public Benefit Organizations (PBO) sector under one statute and regulator.
She has also served as a Member of the Cooperative Tribunal from November of 2012 to November of 2014 in Hearing and Settling of Co-operative Disputes.
Rahma heads the Real Estate, Conveyance and Property Practice Areas. She holds a Masters in Law from the (UoN) in Banking and Financial Services Law. She has an in-depth grasp of the fields of infrastructure development, Joint Ventures, Transfer of Land and Real Estate. Her Real Estate expertise extends to all types of Real Estate projects including residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. Rahma advises clients on all stages of a project from project inception, project development, project financing, undertaking due diligence on the purchasers, drafting and overseeing to the conclusion of transfer of ownership of units within the larger development.
